Prices on some of those seem a little out there... like the Sakura Taisen GB combo - both the Pocket Sakura and the GBC game can be had over NCSX for about $16 each, shipped.

That was indeed the one I was talking about. However, on the page following the one where the pocket Sakura was located, in the Sale Of The Day section of the old store, was this:

Added together, they are still FAR below $68 - $30 less, to be accurate. As I stated, some of the prices seem a bit dodgy.

And yeah, I know the exchange rate to pounds from USD sucks, but $75 for what wasn't a very good VB game is lunacy, much less 75 pounds. If the seller really wants to get rid of the item - as I stated - then my offer of $35 for a rather poor 3d maze game still stands. Unless, judging by the prices on the other Virtual Boy games, the seller is unaware that the VB has been discontinued?

Just doing my part to break the cycle of greed and ridiculous prices in the gaming market, although it's hard to do on the buyer's end, as there's always some dumb shmuch with more money who thinks something's a steal...

Do bear in mind that it's worth more in the UK because it was never released here, and regularly gets decent prices. The same way that US people are willing to pay a premium for PAL-exclusive titles (even if they're rubbish football/soccer games).

Also, converting to US dollars means that everything sounds expensive - for example, a new Xbox/GC game typically costs the equivilent of $75 US here! A king size mars bar can cost 90c!

How about rather than posting on this thread complaining about the supposedly high prices (which aren't actually that high - unless, of course, you're in a country with a weak currency like the US or Australia), you just keep shtum and don't buy them?

 

I concur, if someone posts something for sale, coming along bitching about his prices is not right, in my opinion. Quite different from what Johnny did in haljordan's thread, he was trying to help and subsequently got flamed by several people who seemed oblivious to the fact that not everyone on this world is a native speaker of English.

Sod`s law....someone will find a better deal somewhere at some stage. The prices of items will be reduced slowly as they don`t atract any interest/sell.

The exchange rate is great for us this side of the Atlantic for buying $ priced items but not in reverse.

So a while ago £400 for a 64DD Dev kit would have been a fair price in $
but now it is not so attractive.

The items have to reflect the UK value required/average etc etc so for those in countries with exchange rates that are not good against the £ I am sorry but this is something I can not control.

If there is an item(s) that is/are of interest....offers....all be it sensible....will be considered. Items will not be "given" away unless they are sitting here for some time.

It is all supply + demand.............Yakumo purchased several DC that he can`t get at the prices I had them for.........LeGit had made reasonabole offers on some items and these were accepted.

Your comments on the price of the Pink Hello Kitty DC meant that this was pulled as he didn`t want to sell it for the prices ($) that these were going for.
