Tell me how Great it is for me to walk out of the room in the morning and hear my wife in the bathroom humming the Simon Theme from super Castlevania 4 lol.
Do you guys play many games with family members or are they just into the games themselves? Unfortunately for me I haven't met anyone at all who would know what Castlevania is, or played Sonic R....
Never with my family, but I play coop games with my girlfriend. We finished "Crash Wrath of Cortex" recently and are now tackling "Lego Harry Potter 1-4". I'm a huge Lego fan at heart and she liked games in which you collect stuff a lot of small stuff, so this is the perfect fit I suppose.
My friend has an incredible talent for whistling. He can hit notes almost perfectly according to tuning instruments. Mix in the fact that he loves games, especially Nintendo, and it's hilarious to have him whistle away for hours.
I play some games with my son but my wife hates games although I do play them when she's in the same room. Nights are quite odd in our house. She's on my PC watching Hulu with headphones on while I'm gaming on the big TV in 5.1 (if it's a modern game).
When I was over at my friend's apartment a couple weeks ago, he played me a song from Chrono Trigger on his guitar. It sounded pretty good - he's a damn fine guitarist. Tangentially related: I took a public speaking class over the summer, and there was a random triforce in one of his presentations. I said, "Is that a triforce?" and he said, "Yes. I was hoping someone would notice that." He was a cool teacher.
I suppose my problem is that most people I know only play modern games, and with a lot of games now there is so much going on and so many sound effects that it's kinda difficult to focus on the soundtrack, so even if they did whistle the tune of a modern game I'd probably not even realize it. Of course there are exceptions, like Halo has an excellent soundtrack that I think really helps the atmosphere of some of the levels
Best make sure that doesn't become a point of contention. Women hate men doing things they are uninterested in..
I can whistle the entire theme to Wild Arms. The parts that have whistle in it, I hum the part that doesn't (which isn't much). =hugh
I was trying to learn a song from Sutte Hakkun on my guitar, but I gave up. It's a difficult song. There are no tabs available for it, so I have to learn it by ear.
