I love that VBT is still working on new homebrew releases but I'm curious what happened to The Rockin'-B. He was holding coding contests and has an amazing webpage of Saturn related projects http://www.rockin-b.de/rockin-b.html but seems to have disappeared after releasing The Rockin'-B All Stars in 2009.

I might be a little off with the timeline, but wasn't it around 2009 when he first announced that a homebrew project was being developed to use a boot cartridge of his own design? I suspect he's since gone quiet due to either the controversy of this or being flooded with enquiries from those wanting to exploit his work to further the Saturn piracy cause. My understanding is that his approach was being regarded by some as the only way to successfully bypass the disc security ring check without a modchip, following the discovery of its data proving impossible to burn due to the way it is originally pressed off the typical linear path CDR lasers can write inside. With no drives so far proving able to correctly emulate this "wobble" and The Rockin' B disappearing, it looks as if we're stuck either continuing to modify or emulate hardware... hopefully one day he might yet return to surprise us all, as I personally thought Police Officer Smith was looking fantastic (not to mention he fixed something in my collection so it could finally load)!

Im thinking of doing some work on the saturn eventually, currently working on some projects for Dreamcast and Android, although nothing that can match officer smith for example. I'd love for he to "return", as with the other Saturn contributors. I really think the Saturn is a machine we havent seen the full potential of yet, and the homebrew scene is undeservingly small (compared to DC for example)
