Well I say raining, more like pouring down as the southern part of Taiwan gets the brunt of the rain from Typhoon Morakot. Friday during wasn't so bad, it rained but it didn't feel that heavy, come the night and it came down very hard... it's morning and it's still raining, it sounds like a river is flowing outside my window... I've heard reports that about 15" (about 38cm) fell in the last 24 hours... although the river of water coming from the roof down the stairs in the flat does lead me to believe it's true.... Well as long as the power doesn't die then I'll be playing Saturn, Famicom and Playstation 3 a lot today. Got 2 days off work due to the adverse weather conditions... just about got enough food for the next two days...
they say around here there are only two different weather situations: - it is raining - it will rain in a moment
It's pissing down here now. Seriously, this is the worst spring & summer I can remember. I'm white as a ghost.
On the news it was said the storm hit Taiwan even harder than the Chinese continent. Hope it's everything with our people living down in east-asia, esp. Jamtex. Also Japan got twelve or so casulties if I remember correctly.
I read there was a mudslide caused by the typhoon, over 600 ppl missing... Nice to see we're calling it Taiwan and not Southern china .
Really wish we could get some rain here... even though we've been pretty damn lucky (IMO) so far this year. distant thunder is such a cocktease.
Fuck tornadoes. They always hit south of us. Then again, so does 50% of the rain around here... Hmm... Fun fact, I have never seen a tornado in real life.
Don't call for it As for what alphagamer and liquitt said, I can't second it. It always rains at night, but the days remain incredibly humid rather than hot and it's either sunny or, even worse, foggy. Unstandable if you're working outside (which I've had to do a lot lately -_-).
