... there's nothing like this: http://wiki.livedoor.jp/tuchy_888/d/%b2%a6%cd%cd Where can I get that?!
It's not selfmade, it was sold at the Wonder Festival in summer 2005 according to the short description above the pictures. I figure it would be very hard to come by nowadays since these figures are not only very sought after by otakus and fans of the game, they already cost a big bunch of money on the festival judging by the grade of detail and the low print run. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wonder_Festival Otaku paradise.
Well, maybe it's not all "self-made" - but it's definitely hand made, and extremely rare in that case. The short description says "production diary" and shows pictures of how it was actually made by hand. At least the one in the pics. what about this then? http://www.videogamemm.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=25973&sid=31f4c7d682b285fb550c4a605d5eacc7#p25973
Most of these models come unpainted and you have to assemble and color them yourself. I know because I used to want several wonderfully detailed 2D-shooter models that were only available on the doujin market for ridiculous prices (i.e. an amazing model of Ikaruga). The parts may be hand-made in some way because it's an expensive doujin item, but it's not like a unique custom-made piece or something. I would expect to pay at least 10-15'000yen for the raw parts. The Ikaruga models were sold for 28'000yen IIRC, just to give an example.
