Hello everyone, I am trying to mod my first Xbox 360. I have a Jasper 512MB that I originally did a RGH2 mod on with a CR4, but it was not working super well. I was, however, able to get the CPU and such from Xell.

I was using this thread: http://team-xecuter.com/forums/threads/148878-CR4-R-Jtag-Install-Diagram-(Wires-Only)

to wire everything up since I was unable to get QSBs. The issue I a having now is the 'debug' LED on the CR4 remains lit when the CPU_RST wire is connected. I have tried using an alternate point, but I get the same result.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

hi Fuel , are you using a authentic CR4 ?. The recent ones are known to have troubles on Phats , also does the green Debug light pulse on and off or just stay solid green ?

Thanks for the reply s8n, I purchased the chip through ModChipCentral mid way through last year, but I just now got around to using it.

Using the RGH2 method, the debug light would pulse like it was supposed to. But, to answer your question, the green LED stays solid, but not as bright as when it would blink.

your CR4 with that purchase date falls into the bad batch , i actually returned my CR4's from where i got mine from and got a refund. Sometimes if the green LED doesn't blink nice and bright it can mean the soldering needs Flux to make better contact. I think tho with the CR4 you have ( bad batch ) your better off seeking a alternative chip , i used a Coolrunner Clone and it boots instantly.

Awww, I see. Would you mind PMing me what chip you purchased? How does the install compare to the CR4? Thanks for your help by the way.

hi again , i looked around to PM you but i can't seem to do it so i have to message you publicly. I bought mine from the below , they come in a 10 pack.

    https://www.dhgate.com/product/cool...china/196910645.html#s1-1-1b;searl|3820256280

the install is in the below link Coolrunner Rev C RGH 1.2 , from memory it is very similar to the CR4. Also i used the RGH 1.2 method which has the compatibility of RGH1 and the fast glitching of RGH2.

your welcome on the help Fuel , sorry for the late reply i had to go out for a bit. Btw with RGH1.2 you can use your J-R Programmer to program timing files to the Coolrunner. If you have good soldering and the right timing file you will get instant boots , but really if it pulses a few times and then boots that's cool too.

Just wanted to give an update. I got the CoolRunner as you suggested and everything is working great now. I'm getting pretty much Insta-boots every time. Thanks again!

Any suggestions on what dash to run?

that's great news Fuel thanks for the update , i use Aurora i will leave a video of one of my 360's running it. You may want to mute the audio as some people didn't like the music.
