Hi, new to the board and a new lindbergh cabinet owner.

I have a ton of Jamma games that I want to use on the cabinet and have done a bunch of research. I know I need an upscaler which I bought:

    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E7HSQXK/ref ... +converter

And I know I need a Jamma to jvs adaptor which I bought:

    http://www.rs2006.co.jp/e/adapter/index.html

So I thought I was all set. The problem is the lindbergh power connecters are nothing like the ones on the Jamma converter which I assume uses standard JVS connectors?

Is it a matter adapting the power connectors? Or is that Jamma converter not the one to use? Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

I believe you will need a JVS power supply for that converter board of yours, and then connect the vga on the coverter board to the GBS8220 (unless the jamma to jvs board does video conversion).

The power supply would be like what JVS systems such as Naomi use. Since Lindbergh uses a completely different psu, unless there is an adapter for Lindbergh to jvs power.

Just wondering, which Lindbergh system do you have (color), what game is it running? Got an pics of the cabinet, I would love to see them.

It turns out there is a power cable adapter! Should be all set I hope.

The cab came with a yellow lindbergh that used to have VF5 in it but the hard drive is gone and I don't have the disc or chip. So I'll have to get those. Don't have pics handy but looks like I'll have to host them so I can put one up.

    Thanks for the help!

If you ever plan to put VF5 back on it there are VF5 images on the internet right now. I know a Virtua Fighter 5 (Export) chd image is in mame right now. If your Lindbergh Yellow has the key chip (same as Naomi) then you should be able to find the proper image, burn a dvd of it, install it off of a external dvd drive onto a compatible hard drive. I hear an Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive works great for installing Lindbergh games.

Yep bought a Xbox 360 hd-dvd drive just for that reason. I'm not sure how to get a key chip though, can it be any key chip? I would love to get VF back on there so the cab panel and marquee match what's on screen, at least some of the time. Oh and if this works, got a pic attached here too. Marquee isn't attached but ive got that too. image1.JPG

Nice cabinet, I love those Sega HD ones. Really wish I would get one with Virtua Fighter 5, and of course a Lindbergh Yellow to run VF5 (sure wish they would announce Virtua Fighter 6 already).

Is the key chip socket of your Lindbergh Yellow empty? It can be seen in the picture below right (not my picture) under the left power connector. If yours is missing the key chip, that black thing will not be there, just a hole to insert one.

I have heard about Multi boot setups on Lindbergh which wouldn't require the actual key chip for the game installed but honestly I do not know how those are done. I have seen some Lindbergh Yellow games on ebay but sadly I have never seen any Virtua Fighter 5. From what I understand it was a rental only game and no operator (when it was new) could own a copy of the game making it very rare. Now a game might install without a key chip but like the Naomi stuff I have, it will not run without the proper chip.
