    jesus titty fucking CHRIST

:noooo: :noooo: :noooo: :noooo: :noooo: :noooo: :noooo:

Not sure if anyone else saw this but... man...

News station (not sure which one) calls Hawkers father LIVE on air to tell him "we haveu breaking newzu thatu your dotazu killer has been captured, howdoyoufellrightnow?"

    WHAT the FUCKING FUCK!

I've never seen this before. Calling the relatives to give them the news live? What the hell. Not only that they kept him on the line ! and REPEATED the same questions like he'd not been told already - much to his confusion, but this time with realtime interjected translation

Then we got to inane questions like "so is your wife coming home now?" - which as Mr Hawker pointed out "no, you just called me to tell me, i've not called anyone because i'm stuck on the phone. Can i leave this call now?"
Hawker then asks to leave the call repeatedly

Even better - the translater is there TRANSLATING his repeated plea.

Did anyone else see this ?

Holy shit, the guys from the TV Station are a bunch of assholes, that's like asking "Does is hurt?" to someone who has been shot in the stomach, it's unbelieavable.

That's pretty shameless. Crazy that they finally caught him though. Must be hard to be on the lamb for 2 years here when you're all over the news.

EDIT: Is this a good time to mention how retarded the circus that follows Japanese law enforcement (specifically on big cases) is? I wonder what company makes a fortune in selling the police tarps.

Another low point for the Japanese to show how fucking insensitive they are. retards all the way!

Also British viewers of have I got News For You may have seen this next one. On a Japanese digital channel they set this guy up in a hidden camera show. The guy walks in to a room for a job interview with two members of the company. they sit down and begin the interview. All seems normal then all of a sudden the two giving the interview are shot dead by what seems to be sniper shots from outside. Of course this was all set up and acting but the poor sod who was being interviewed thought it was real. As you'd expect the poor guy was scared shitless and cowered in his chair praying to God that he wouldn7t be next.

Now that is NOT funny at all. that poor guy was humiliated on live TV not to mention could have had a heart attack. Sometimes TV in this country goes beyond pathetic. If I was the guy I would have sued the shit out of the TV company but would he have won?

Well, if they show it on TV then they must think it's harmless, in that case I think he would've lost.

Forgive me for being lost but who the heck is Hawker? I have no idea what this is talking about at all. Some guy that's been on the run for 2 years or something?

    I'm totally lost.

Ah yes I saw this last Friday, I've seen similar things on 'Tarrant on TV' where unsuspecting members of the Japanese public have the crap literally scared out of them.
I would've thought that for a conservative nation they'd be a bit more sensitive (good manners and all that) The news story makes them look about as professional as Quahog 5 News from Family Guy.

Thats terrible. I hope the news station gets some sanctions. Don't the Japanese have an equivalent of Ofcom that prevents things like this? You'd never get away with something like that in the UK.

No you just get asshole Prime Ministers sending the mothers of dead war heroes badly written letters misspelling their names and getting their facts wrong.

How I love our unelected leader :noooo:

To be fair neat writing with one eye must be fairly hard, though yes getting facts & spellings wrong is rather poor.

TBS called Hawker's father 5 min in advance of the news report to tell him the news, so he had some time to prepare an answer.
Also, without TBS's on other stations' frequent coverage, the killer probably wouldn't have been caught.

Now, interviewing a small child that was a witness of a school stabbing (Akita prefecture if I recall correctly) and asking questions such as "was there blood on your hands?" "how did you feel" and "were you scared?" and the like are fucking insensitive. This report, however, wasn't.

It's the police's job to notify parties in such a case, not the media.

If the Chiba Police had their heads out of the asses he would have never gotten away. How quickly we forget that they had him in their sights, and he literally slipped through their fingers.

What about the japanese guy who went for a job interview and ended up in a box size room for about a year (on a tv show) he could no leave until he had won maybe a $1000 on lotery tickets or something.

He was told that if he did it he would become another one of these no-talent pricks that seem to appear on every TV show yet do nothing. The guy did become one of these "talents" for about 2 months after that the japanese forgot about him to move on to the next idiot.

Japan... a conservative nation? :noooo: Not at all. The just put on a charade. There are some conservative people here... but for everyone of them there's a school girl with her skirt hiked up just above the bottom of her ass and a train molester waiting to either fondle her, secretly film her from a hole in his shoe or publicly blow his load on her (or in her, which is rape) while everyone in the train car pretends not to notice as they couldn't be bothered to help. Japan is seriously f'ed up like that.
