What's the closest team to Ueno or would be easily accessible from Ueno by train?

I've seen quite a few American ballparks whenever I have travelled on business and vacation and would love to see a japanese game. Especially if Yu Darvish was pitching as I have a feeling that kid is going to be in MLB one day with a $100,000,000+ contract.

Closest would be the Yomiuri Giants (AKA Tokyo Giants) at the Tokyo Dome (which you could walk to from Ueno, it's only about 3km away), they are playing two games on the 1st and 2nd of July. The easiest way to buy tickets in English is to use the online booking service (click)..

Hey wicked thanks - the only game I can make is the 2nd as my flight arrives about 5pm on the first but I think I'm going to give it a try. That be pretty deadly to add the Tokyo Dome to the list of ballparks I've visited.

I've never been to a ballgame in Japan, but I'm going to go out on a limb and tell you to not expect much from junk food at the concession stand.
