    Hello
Essentially, I was wondering if anybody knows of any japanese exclusive dreamcast games which are worth playing even if you have zero understanding of the japanese language. For example Puyo puyo fever, where not only is it easy to play without understanding the language but there is also an option to change it to english. Are there many games with this option, if any others at all?
If not, I'm not massively worried but any suggestions for games which can be played through without speaking japanese would be good :)

There are plenty of recommendations. I'd suggest the well known imports like Ikaruga, GGX, etc as good top quality games to look into if you haven't yet (I'm sure racketboy or various blogs have lists and recommendations). The fighting games, shooters, puzzle games, and a few simulations (IE: Aero Dancing series) would all be very playable without Japanese knowledge. I can't think of very many non-well known imports that are fun or impressive or playable without knowledge of Japanese. I've never played it, but Lack of Love is supposed to be cool, a little off the beaten import path, and doesn't require Japanese knowledge.

This is basic knowledge, but in general you would want to avoid RPGs, turn based strategy games, date sims, and visual novel games, since those would all be heavily reliant on story or Japanese text to be able to play and enjoy the experience. Although the Japanese DC library is several hundred games larger than the US or Europe game library, I would say a large percentage of potentially import friendly games that fall into categories like fighting or action (IE: Soul Calibur, DOA2, Ferrari F355, etc), were translated and released in the western markets - while the RPGs, date sims, etc were not - and the RPGs, date sims, and graphic novels make up a fairly sizeable portion of the Japanese exclusive releases.

Thank you for the suggestions, I will certainly look into it :)
I realised it might be an idea to give the text heavy RPGs and dating sims etc a wide berth, especially after I gave the japanese Elemental gimmick gear a try because it was so much cheaper than the US version and had to give up very quickly haha.
I thought aerodancing was already translated and called aerowings or am I mistaken?

It is true that Aero Dancing = Aerowings

BUT, there were more Aero Dancing games released than Aerowings games released. "Aero Dancing i" was the third game in the series and did not have a western release.

Roommania is another quirky and playable game that didn't have a western release. It's kind of a weird game though, check out youtube videos to get the gest and see if you might like it.

Most Shmups are fair game too. Zero Gunner 2 is great and is amazing, also is Cannon Spike.

Oh awesome, I didn't realise that there were more. I've clearly spent too much time concetrating on my PAL collection haha.
Weird games are my favourite, roommania looks really good, quite text heavy though, is it easy to get the gist of what's occuring without being able to understand it?

I'll look into zero gunner 2 but I already have cannon spike, PAL release cost me a lot of money though haha

Well a lot of the cost is the postage to the UK
A friend bought me a copy for christmas and it cost him like £12 for the game then £18 for postage, on top of that, it turned out not to work thanks to our good friend Mr. disc rot. The Japanese one I got on the other hand, cost me £5 with free postage from japan.
