Back on topic, I find it ironic as the Japanese seem to be boycotting the non-Japanese console, the XBOX 360. You guys remember the XBOX 360 launch day in Japan pic?

 

B/c Japanese people expect other people living in Japan to act a certain way. When they don't, the wheels fall off. Regardless of how tame the Japanese are, you can't really blame them = it's their turf. Don't like it? Simple - leave. I guess some of the 3rd generation Koreans have a different argument, but those guys generally blend in pretty well.

They're not actively boycotting it. They're just not buying it. Why would they? Look at the line up. It's a gigantic turd. And which pic are you referring to? I remember launch day in Shibuya. It was not that eventful.

 

I don't think it's that much of a boycot... it's just that xb360 kind of sucks so far... I'm surprised it sells so well in the west.

Since Japan usually LOOOOVES western stuff (hey... look at Apples success... or all the fast-food-joints) I think it should be safe to say that they aren't just boycotting it since it's from the west.

 

I think this is a bit of a kiss-ass to japan. There are many good zainichi (that's koreans in japan), but I hate it when people judge all koreans by something stupid like one dumb video. That's like trusting the media. I know a japanese friend who said, "In Japan we had just as many assholes as we have in America, and I think the glory of it is blown out of proportion by the otaku twats." Sure, the japanese have it artistically when it comes to media, but socially, if moving to Japan was really the answer to our problems, everybody would live there.

There's always quarrels between Koreans and Japanese over stupid shit, I wish they could just stop bitching and get over it.

They are notoriously quieter and blend in much better though in Japan, and thus, aren't nearly as annoying. In America, people tend do the opposite. You can pick an asshole out of a crowd in many cases. I blame noise for being the main reason other races are outted in Japan. So many foreigners don't know when to shut the fuck up.
