I was playing the japanese version of sonic mega collection and decided to unlock the ooze and comix zone. Comix zone I found intresting how all the drawings in the manual are done manga stile, even though it's obvious the game is done american comic book style (guess it's their way of trying to get the japanese market to buy an american game). Other funny things to note is a page that is dedicated to quoates from audio samples in the game. Now the manual for the ooze is very bizzare. First of all for some strange reason the manual has a girl that is in a bunny suite (i.e. keio flying squadron) and a short tiny man in a somewhat reveling construction suite going over various parts of the game I take it. My question is what the hell is this suppose to mean and how does it relate to the game? Might explain the 18 on the front cover with an X? If any one wants pics of it I'll take them.
I'd like to see that Ooze manual... the Japanese version is quite an unique release anyway, having some Japanese lore with missing words on the cover (with the solution in mirrored writing on the back).
As promised here are the pics of the manual.I apologize for the poor quality but the pics were taken with digital camera off my hd tv and had to resize them to fit the forum. If there is a way to rip them directly from the disc let me know. Some up close shots of the cover The rest of the manual
well they're great collectors items. It's amazing how much english you find in japanese game booklets.
Just some? OK, on page 8/13 it says しかけ in a header. That's shikake, which has several meanings, e.g. device or trick. I guess it means set up or challenge in this case. I can't really read the smaller text, though. Remind me not to go suit shopping with you. I'd end up with a luxury apartment!
