I understand that there is a lot of Sega love here, so I thought I'd share this for all Sega / NiGHTS fans.

This segment originated from an episode of Sega Video Magazine and it features the initial unveiling of NiGHTS at the Japanese Tokyo Prince Hotel way back in March 26, 1996; followed by an old, rare interview with Yuji Naka, Naoto Oshima, and Takashi Iizuka.

Also included in the segment are footage of the game's early stages of development, including a different stage layout for Spring Valley. Many of the sound effects heard are also very different, and even the music sounds unrefined! Such elements are highlighted in the video though annotations. There has been no translation for the interview, yet.

Once again, it another video from this particular source. Nico Nico Douga is quite the treasure chest of Japanese gaming history, desu ka.

I have a stack of Sega Video Magazine VHS tapes. I really need to capture these into my PC.

A large number of Sega Video Magazine volumes can be found at Nico Nico Douga, which is the source I've been using to hopefully build my own digital collection of this complete series. However, there's a significant year-long gap in the uploads available starting from October 1996, plus I don't actually know if there were any further editions after September '98 (although I'd be surprised if Sega hadn't already abandoned the VHS format by this point). If you could fill in these blanks it would be very much appreciated, but I also believe a few of the earlier pre-Saturn tapes may also be missing - you'd have to check. Since I'm only after material from the 32-bit era, these don't really bother me. On the other hand, being able to create the full set must be desirable to at least someone out there...
