    (it's not a swastika, it's a manji)

Now watch this AMAZING szene from the movie:

    ...

I need to watch this. It must be wonderful in every way
Any more recommendations? Trash preferred. I know most of the 70's semi-pornographic stuff, which is really nice I think, but not "trash" in my opinion (In the Realms of Senses is such a funny flick:033:).

I have a DVD of the very trashy horror movie, HOUSE. I'll have to rip it one day for all to see since the likelyhood of finding one these days in the west must be quite rare.

It's actually very known, there's even a German DVD release, published by Asian cinema specialist Rapid Eye Movies. The label Eureka brought it to the UK not too long ago (MoC #93), most likely the best home release yet with a thick booklet including promo pictures & side facts.

But you're absolutely right, it fits this topic perfectly. I have to watch it once again, it's always such an amusing yet frightening trip into the 70's Japanese fantasy genre :)

Love that movie~! Gaki Damashii, aka The Tastiest Flesh is a great piece of trashy horror as well. Fairly obscure but worth hunting down.

I recommend "Stop The Bitch Campaign Again" AKA "Stop The Bitch Campaign - Hell Version". It's the sequel to "Stop The Bitch Campaign", but I haven't tracked down the first one yet so I can't say if it's any good.

Wow, I never knew that. It's pretty hard to find in Japan now. Comes in a CD style case too.

    ???

What, no obligatory head severing where the lump of a body stays perfectly still and the head just rolls backwards onto the ground? The scene kind of reminded me of The Naked Gun where the cop has a pillow thrown in his face and holds it there like he just can't escape from it...heh.

    Does "Ichi the Killer" count?

Too much of a budget to be called "trash movie", imo. At some point you go from "cheap but entertaining trash" to "crappy commercial movie" (not saying Ichi was crappy - I'm talking only about the budget).
Otherwise, if our main criterium is only going to be be a trashy storyline (i.e. ignore the budget), let me add "Oneechanbara" and "Attack Girls' Swim Team vs. the Undead" to the list.

Hey do you know of the horror movie Home, Sweet Home? I really would love to get my hand on a copy of that movie.

Ichi the killer is awesome in its own way, but I wouldn't really call it a "trash-movie". Same goes for pretty much any other movie he made - they are too unique to go as real trash, b-movies. Stuff like Dead or Alive, Ichi, Visitor Q are insaneously awkward, violent and funny at the same time. But they are never absurd enough to laugh at them like you'd laugh at a movie itself. You always laugh at what's happening and that's a huge difference IMO.

And while we're at it: Tokyo Gore Police is a great trash-splatter if you ask me. I know there quite a few haters of that movie out there, but I thought it was a masterpiece of splatter trash. The music, the ideas, the effects...
