Fiuh, I was about to posting it to Japanese Computers accidently. Oh finally I found that I am posting on wrong section.

Hello, do you remember the green rabbit with gun games back in 90's? That is Jazz Jackrabbit!
Jazz Jackrabbit is a green rabbit, where wants to beat devan shell and save the princess. It inspires the Sonic The Hedgehog, Mario and Mega Man.
Actually this game is hard to find, but you can found it pirated in alot of places.
There are 2 games of its series (+1 for the unreleased).
    The Original Jazz Jackrabbit:
    View attachment 6866
Released originally back in 1994 by Epic Mega Games (Now Epic Games) and later some improved versions on 1995 and 1996. It has 6 episodes (Main episodes having 3 zones/planets and 2 acts), in later versions especially the christmas version there are 3 more episodes witch 1 is Christmas themed episode with nice 3 acts only and the music is best. Today there are ports for PSP, Linux, Mac (Official and unofficial), Windows Phone (cancelled due there aren't licenses) and an SDL where makes it to more platforms.
If you want it here is vote to going at GOG
    Jazz Jackrabbit 2:

(No time, going to add screenshot tomorrow)
Released in 1998 the new Jazz Jackrabbit game is having ONLINE multiplayer mode and PvP elements such CTF, Battle and Treasure mode. There are different releases such the normal release and the rare European, witch these also leaked in the Internet. Unlike original Jazz Jackrabbit, some different beta versions has been leaked (most common the 1.00h/g and 1.10) and semi games that based on its engine like dutch Battery Check. The retail versions are 1.2x . And the European is 1.24. Also the most popular feature is allowing users to create their own levels and tilesets (to create custom textures). The original website of the game is here (Wayback). Sadly, there are not alot episodes included and the sadest is the European have only 1 episode (but bundles with usermade episodes at home cooked levels unlike the Original none usermade level).
What are the differences from the Original and European
    - Different logo
    - Tileset can be 4096 long than Original 1024
    - New enemies
    - Including Usermade episodes
    - 1.24 is compatible with 1.23 levels, but 1.23 is not compatible with 1.24 levels (even if made with 1.23 tileset build from 1.24 Level creator, maybe format changes).
    - Also the european version know as Jazz Jackrabbit 2: The Secret Files.

The Christmas TSF Released at late '99 is the most rarest JJ2 version, sadly It isn't popular due its not supported by JJ2+ and can't connect to regular TSF servers.
    The plus patch
It is a fan-made patch that adds alot of features and moar commands. Originally released on 2008. The last version was at 2010 because the creator had no time at that time, so at 2012 some dev got the source from the creator and they continue the project.

    The Main features are:
    - Allocated more ram to allow bigger level with bigger music.
    - Possible to change gamemode or cycle to certain level without third part program (via commands)
    - Admin access.

And new features at 2013 releases:
    - Scripting Support
    - More RAM allocated. The first 2013 has an bug that is possible the game to use 1 GB or more ram where usually the normal fewer than 100 Mb ram, fixed at later revision).
    - Possible to do commands at the menu.
    - 3D support :O Wear your glasses.
    The patch is available here
    JazzJackrabbit3D (unreleased):
    Jazz3D.png
Originally planned to be released also on Playstation 2. JazzJackrabbit enters to 3d world like Mario 64, a Third Person Shooter and based on UDK engine. Created by World Tree Games (formelly Eclipse).
    Why its canceled?:
At the development the project status was very active... But at the time the Developers showed the game at the Epic Mega Games, the Epic Mega Games unable to find publisher. The publisher where published JJ2 didn't wanted to get publish the game. More Info here
Only 1 Alpha demo released to public, I will post it on the forum later...
    JazzJackrabbit Advanced:
Not actual made or lincence by Epic Mega Games, mostly is popular pirated game back in day. The JazzJackrabbit Advanced is made for GameBoy Advanced.
(Same here not enought time, I will update it after few hours).

I remember this from the days when I had used to work in a computer store :)

There is an interesting video on YouTube detailing its history (I am sure I grabbed this link originally from a tread on this forum a while back)

I am putting the finishing touches on a 486DX retro gaming PC as we speak, actually. I have the first jazz jackrabbit game on CD with 3 exclusive episodes in addition to the 3 others. I adore the game, it's probably my favorite PC game. Terrific soundtrack written by the same dude who wrote the epic pinball and one must fall 2097 soundtracks.

How did I know that would be an LGR video! :D

I hope you have a nice fast 486, like an Intel DX4 100, Cyrix Cx5x86 120 or AMD 5x86 133. Jazz Jackrabbit needs a faster CPU when things get busy and/or fast paced.

Get a GUS too. Those three games in particular own on a GUS.

Jazz1 will run just fine on a 386DX/40 + ISA vga at full details... no need for a fast 486 at all!

Really? I found that a 486 DX2 wasn't quite grunty enough if you wanted the highest audio quality setting as well as the better graphic detail setting. It was OK most of the time, but slowed down a bit if there was lots on screen, and/or running at full speed.

Unless you have a GUS that is, to take audio mixing off the CPU.

I remember playing Jazz Jackrabbit at a friend's house when I was a kid, excellent game. The sequel was awesome, like the other character, wasn't he called Spazz? Haha.
