Damn. The Breakfast Club is one of the best movies to grace humans. You young mother fuckers now just wouldn't get it. I watch it regularly. I say quotes from it all the time.

EDIT: Yeah, Ferris Beueller's Day Off is timeless as well. How many shows/commercials/movies have mimmicked the shampoo mohawk over the years.

    I watched the breakfast club.

I didn't get it because I never really hang out with degenerates in high school.

I remember this line "Hey, smoke up, Tony!" when that one guy was talking about how his dad bought him a pack of cigs for Christmas.

Yikes these stars and celebs keep falling. It's as if all of old school america is disappearing! Planes, Trains, and Automobiles was my favorite of his. I'm pretty surprised by this. Wasn't he suppose to be working on a new movie?

    "Hey, smoke up, Johnny!"

We'd have better luck playing pick-up sticks with our buttcheeks then getting a plane out of here by day break.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off is a timeless movie. Any kid from any generation will like it. Everybody wants to be Ferris! SAVE FERRIS!

The Breakfast club is also a great movie. There was a parody of it in one of those shitty movies that are released these days. The only decent part of it was the parody anyway.

Small part of it on the end of this.

The 80's was a great time for comedy movies. Too bad Holywood stopped making these kinds of movies.

RIP HUGHES! Thanks for the great movies!

He wrote some hilarious movies, too. They just don't make them like they used to.

Yeah, I agree regarding "The Breakfast Club". It was the best film he produced and I hope to God nobody tries a remake. Ally Sheedy was my school boy crush - yeah, always liked the quirky weird ones!

"This is your Walter Cronkite Moon Ring".

Haha -- I miss John Candy.

It won't work any more. The cliques or whatever you want to call them are all different, minus the jocks & geeks. Besides, troubled kids in school just shoot each other. They did talk about a sequel about 5 years or so ago but Emilio Esteves fucked it up. Trivia* there was close to an hour of footage cut from the movie. Apparently John Hughes owned the only definitive copy on film.

The scene in Planes, Trains & Automobiles where they get pulled over by Lenny. Classic. "Top o the mornin', officer!"

Never underestimate Hollywood's ability to shit on a classic to make a quick buck.

John Hueghs and John candy were a great team. Honestly I don't think there will ever be another john candy, he was classic and I wish he was still around.

Hughes was known to have longer cuts of movies he never bothered sharing with anyone else or showing. Planes, trains, and automobiles was another. He stated the extra footage not in the film would take a long time to cut or even edit back into the film.

I always felt Ferris Bueller's Day Off was a bit over rated, but The Breakfast Club was great. Also Home Alone, his best movie IMO.

Home Alone would be great if the cast somebody other than Joe Pecsi as the head theif.

The Joe Pecsi from any other movie would've killed Kevin in 10 seconds. and looted the house effortlessly.

Hell I loved The Breakfast Club, there was some magical thing about MANY 80´s films that I miss from newer films.
