Was digging thru some boxes and came across this one. Looks like an early attempt. Title screen Pushing start resets the race. This beach isn't the same since after that oil tanker sank. On the road again. I just can't wait to get on the road again. Yes I fell off the map.
Wow, that thing looks terrible. Are you sure it's really PS2 and not PS1? (Or well, could be early PS2 being ported from PS1 assets... but still)
It's probably that. Super Cross 2001. So it was under development in 2000. At that time, they probably thought about porting it to the PS2.
Sorry to say it is PS2. I'm sure this was the first attempt at the PS2 hardware for this series. I doubt it was more than a test run to test out the mechanics.
So did they use that same title screen on any other Jeremy McGrath games? I'm curious if they just put the 2001 up there or if they designed a title screen from scratch. That would tell me alot about how serious they were about developing this title.
