Apparently so. http://translate.google.com/translate?js=y&prev=_t&hl=es&ie=UTF-8&layout=1&eotf=1&u=http://www.esprit-pixel.com/2010/04/24/jet-set-radio-sur-le-xbox-live-arcade/&sl=auto&tl=en Anyone got access to check to see if its up there?
Man I was just on my way here to post this. Can anybody with parner net confirm. :crying::crying::crying: I want this port soooooo bad.
I won't bother with it. So far ALL Dreamcast conversions to XBOX Live have been lacking. Soul Calibur is missing the very important Quest mode. Marvel Vs Capcom 2 has everything already unlocked and missing some front end stuff or so I heard. I can't see Jet Set Radio being any different. So those of us with the DC originals are better off playing them through VGA. They look just as good as the upscale 720p versions. Those without a DC though, go ahead and buy a true part of great Sega history. Oh and buy After Burner Climax as well! Yakumo
I need to stop being lazy and get my self a VGA box. My DC is just sitting in it's box atm. My home TV sucks (its a CRT), so I like playing my ps3 (playing mostly ps2 games) since I can output on my really nice PC monitor (via hdmi). but, i'm kind of also thinking about saving up money to get back into naomi again (dc arcade). =/
Yakumo I couldn't agree more. Being a Dreamcast owner myself I have no need on getting these ports when I have the originals already in mint condition and playable right next to me. Anyone who wants to get the right feel and experience from these Dreamcast ports needs to get them on the system otherwise to me it just doesn't feel right. The sense of having the game is a greater value than it being on the hard drive I think.
I think this could be great, If its converted to widescreen and 720p. Rez HD looked much better than the original to me, filling the screen without stretching unlike the DC VGA.
Rez 720p didn't look all that much better than Rez running on a DC via VGA. Sure it wasn't 16:9 but the over all visual qulaity is pretty much the same.
Capcom had Marvel have everything unlocked because Capcom sponsors the EVO fighting game tournament. Dreamcasts there typically ran pirate copies with a copied save file to have all the characters unlocked for all the stations. Since the 360 and ps3 don't let you easily copy game saves, and the tournament scene has kept MVC2 alive for 8 years they had everything unlocked for ease of use.
I always think about dumb things like saving my precious old systems' lasers... but then that's like keeping the car in the garage so you won't wear down the tires. Yeah, I'll just play my regular copy. Best part is standing up, getting it off the shelf, disc in the tray, close the door, hit the power, hear my vmu scream at me... It's cool, though. I know a lot of people wouldn't ever hear about this game, and maybe a few that 'discover' it will learn it's origin.
It seems this news is fake now. :crying::crying: Nobody has backed up the leaks, the guy claims the game came from "TestNet" a secret private section of ParnterNet and he hasn't produced an ingame screen still.
I couldnt find it or shenmue - someone might have mocked a couple screens or they could have been up there temporarily. I don't see a problem with Jet Set Radio being released though Shenmue might be a bit of a nightmare to test, I thought its available to dl as a classic xbox?
I'm just happy that more Dreamcast titles are making there way to the public. Not many people have experienced the true genius which was Dreamcast. Jet Grind(SET) Radio is a good choice title to release for download. It really showcases the graphics, style, and creativity which were the hallmark of most DC games. Hopefully Shenmue 1 & 2 will be the next release on XBLA.
I'm pretty sure now the guy was just lying. If it was real someone would have leaked screenshots by now. =( I just hope Sega sees all the hoopla and ports JSR to XBLA/PSN.
If there are extras, it's worth it. 60 FPS > 30 FPS. Rez HD has all the good of both the DC port & the PS2 port, no? Back on topic, that sucks that it was bullshit. This would make the most sense of the DC games to port. Although, once again, I'm sure millions of Japanese gamers would simply miss out on this gem since the 360 takes such a back seat here. Like it or not, this was pretty much the last generation of game when Sega was spitting out originality. Reminds me of a better time, when I had basically no responsibilities... that ain't the case now.
I didn't know that Rez HD was running at 30fps to tell the truth. It didn't look any smother on the demo version I tried.
PS2 & RezHD in 60FPS. DC version, while VGA, is 30FPS. Vibrators set aside, typical couldn't have your cake and eat it too last gen.
