Top 2 would most likely be Taroumaru at about 23,000 - 25,000 followed by Hyper Duel at 12,000 or so. Those are YJ prices. Quite a few fall in the 8,000 to 10,000 I'd say, w/ RS being one of 'em.
nah, you'd never get Taroumaru for under 20'000 even in shops. You'll be looking at good amount of cash for most shooters especially Battle Garegaga, Stella Assault, Blast Wind and maybe even Batsugun. Yakumo
Had all that shit before I moved to Japan. Now since I'm in no rush, I just pick up goodies when seeing a good bargain
Taroumaru is one of those weird cases where it is the most expensive retail game, and is filled with awesome. It could stand to be slightly harder though. That's my only bitch. Fun stuff though, unlike most other rares... like that turd Sapphire. Hyper Duel as well is worth it if you like 90's yoko shooters. Blast Wind is also great but WAY too easy. Garegga, of course, a masterpiece but most (including me) can't fully appreciate it.
Some of the more unknown expensive releases include Final Fight Revenge Doukonban (15000yen iirc), Astra Superstars, Stellar Assault SS, Langrisser Tribute, Super Tempo (in the West at least), Rabbit, Elan Doree, Street Fighter Zero 3 Doukonban, Dungeons & Dragons Collection Doukonban. Battle Garegga and Batsugun increased in price over the past couple of years. My minty Batsugun cost me 25 Euros and the complete Garegga 50 a couple of years ago. Now it's more like 60-75 and 85-100. Radiant Silvergun seems to have lost a bit of its appeal, maybe because of the upcoming HD update? Taroumaru is a must-have, but I admit that I never really played it. Maybe I'll get back to it some time later.
Back in the day I paid £55 for Astra Super Stars and £60 for the Dungeons & Dragons collection, both brand new/sealed. If only I'd have kept everything I either swapped, sold or traded over the years I'd have a fucking amazing collection but sadly we probably all would. Oh for the gift of hindsight...
