Here is another one of my babies that I love collecting for. It might be the fact that it has been a system I have been eyeing for since the early to mid 2000s, but didn't get one til like maybe 2009/10?! Nevertheless I wish I would of known the amount of greatness this system was over here, while yes TG16 was around, but I never saw any stores carrying tthese systems and/or games. Nevertheless Here is my entire pc engine collection. Congrats on the nice collection! I salute all fellow Obey'ers. Looks like your on your way to a fine collection indeed.
Again, great quality titles right there. Do you play those adventure/rpg games? I reckon you mentioned that you are fluent at Japanese, but I think without skills that are close to a native speaker it's still almost impossible to enjoy them. Nice spinecard on Forgotten Worlds
I still got some games left over that I need to get. prolly like the saturn I need another 45-50 some odd games lol
I have played the adventure games, and they are ok nothing really all that spectacular, however, the rpg stuff is fantastic. Aurelia I have gotten quite hooked on, and as I have mentioned Seiya Monogatari is probably hands down one of the best looking Super CD format rpgs. Another one that is odd, but actually really is Linda3(Cube). The art style is very different from what I used to see in videogames, but it also brings tears because it is also has utsumi kenji(seiyuu of Raoh from Hokuto No Ken). Which is another reason I bought that game because of his works =) To also answer your forgotten spine card thingie I got it from this website here lol http://nerdigst.blogspot.com/2011/04/forgotten-worlds-pce-with-spine-card.html
Oh yeah, I remember seeing the spinecard on dingsbums's blog. For Linda^3, is it somewhat understandable for someone with limited Kanji knowledge (~300-400)? I am usually fine with most grammar and a good portion of the vocabulary, but Kanji are always a big obstacle to understand a game. I tried Dead of the Brain once, and it was absolutely unplayable with all these scientific expressions in Chinese characters @_@
It can be, but there are also other versions out there such as the playstation and the saturn version which have imo legible text. If you do happen to have issues with some of the kanjis I use this site in order to remember http://jisho.org/kanji/radicals/ You can find your kanjis by radicals, and then see which one it is afterall. and Dead of the Brain D:! It is my holy grail for my personal PC engine collection ;_; The idea of the game is so weird, but I love the concept of a Zombie Visual Novel with a hint of George Romero. Forget Darius Alpha
I'm interested in Shinmegami Tensei but I don't know where to find a English translation, rom or cart and I've never played Jigoku Meguri. Shinmegami IV is one of my all time favorite 3DS games though, it's up there with X and Y.
This is a nice collection with many great titles. Surprising to see Download 2 but not Download, however. It looks like you have plenty of room to grow, but I hope you keep playing what you have in the meantime!
New Updates as of 4/6/2015 and there is going to be one more surprise that is going to be added. Just waiting for the package to come in. Enjoy
