Probably very little that it hasn't already. They've been doing this for a while now. You're talking about "One Time Debit", right?

Surprisingly, I've been to some shops in Tokyo recently who are using that little Paypal credit card reader with an iPad. Thinking of getting one myself to sell to people on the spot lol

Gaijin, yep. It was an old email but I just saw it today. I'm wondering if that will open up more people to the thought of using PayPal. My guess is that it will have some impact but it will be minimal...

Even before that, they've offered one time debit for years. AFAIK, this is basically the same thing but maybe Paypal approved? It's always been a legit, Japan-issued Visa number.

I might have seen it in the past but it caught my attention this time. I know about the one-time card number but I don't remember seeing it marketed specifically for PayPal, which should boost PayPal's exposure.
