JP DC Mobo - can I make a Dreamkenstein out of it?

I just bought a Japanese Dreamcast motherboard, the one with different cooling system. The layout is a little different from the US/Tectoy models I so I would like to know a few things about it.

1) Is the PSU different from the other regions? Can I use an american PSU board on this JP board?

2) So yeah the controller board is different. But can I mod an american one to fit it? If so, how?

3) The optical unit - any differences?

usa power is the same as jp power/usa and japan are 110v
answer 1 there very much the same
answer 2 no you cant mod the contoller board to fit a jap console
answer 3 the optical is a yahaha and a little bit less noisey
