I almost never buy magazines, and really didn't in Japan. But, on occasion, a good one comes out. Where do you bitches order your import magazines from?

Amazon is the only worldwide bookstore that doesn't ass-rape people... they don't do magazines though. :(

Kinokuniya is all over the place, but bend you over if you want something imported.

I rarely buy them, when I do it's been from Yakumo or play-asia.

I buy all my import mags from yakumo, the basic problem is it is expensive to import them by mail into the uk.It's a small price to pay if you really want the mag though as with things like the Capcom Famitsu special. What's a few pounds extra for buarenteed good service eh??

Go to yakumo, you tight fisted git hehehehe :smt042

God it was so nice to be able to drive 30 mins to a Kinokuniya. I don't know about online purchases but years ago, they'd sell things at the J-MSRP (whatever it is) but yen would exchange a tad higher, like dimes on the dollar. Now I have a 4 hr trek into New York :\

To answer your question, I don't order mags, but if I did, I'd consider Kinokuniya/Amazon lol. Sorry I'm no help.

Kinokuniya is known for high prices world-wide. THen again, books and magazines are relatively expensive to ship, so I guess you get screwed anywhere. Buying a Maxim in Tokyo costed about 1100 yen or so.

    Play Asia it is. ;)

Well here in Germany we have a lot of japanese Bookstores and they usually have loads of Magazines, and its no problem to get something imported. I always buy Megami Magazine or Raspberry there for example. Famitsu, V-Jump and dozens of other magazines available too :D

Other than mister Takafuji, the Japanese teacher/restaurant owner who goes to Japan regularly and brings stuff that you pre-pay him (or rare flavours of pocky, weird games, and such), there's no option.

Oh, and the Japanese-Mexican cultural exchange center, where many people take japanese class, usually has japanese newspapers and magazines.

However, when you need something specific... you're screwed....!

My japanese is not precisely up to par with the amount of kanji required, unfortunately....

This would normally strike me funny, but a chic that worked in a friend of mine's apartment is genetcially Japanese, but was born and raised in Mexico. She even has a gaijin card. Her name is Mari Garcia Ishida or something. It just doesn't sound right when she says "I'm Mexican."
