While I was searching about on Xbox 360 relevant XDK or Software hacks i've came upon this XDKTool named "Jsteam-XDKTool v0.06" I'm not entirely sure what's it's purpose for exactly (since i can't read chinese) but anyways here's the link: http://yd2.360xdk.com/read-tid-1850.html
Ahh so that's what it is! my apologies for linking this, but anyways can this be used to convert homebrew emulators working on retail consoles?
DSwizzy with the greatest of respect as your a nice guy if there was any way to run homebrew on a retail without any sort of hardware hack you would know about it. It would be news everywhere, just like it was with the PS3. I'm sure you have been asking this for two years now!
Yep, you keep asking the same question over and over. If you don't want to trust us, i advice you to read the documentation of the SDK.
@Itchy & @Insane Nutter I know i know, to be completely honest with you guys i've stop worrying about it ages ago after sometime learning they'll Never be a way ever. but this app i'd found was actually way back to the beginning of this year but never informant nor told anyone about it till now! And was very curious about the XDKTool wondering if it was finally the solution i'd been searching for that two remaining years but turns out it's once again useless (sorta) tho one person i've talked too awhile back had actually found a way to run homebrew & whatever but never continued since! so once again I deeply apologize to everyone especially you InsaneNutter buddy!
I have a phat only but i've totally changed my mind now about hacking it but instead i'll go and get me a Wasabi360 i guess. As for homebrew side instead i'm getting a original Xbox off from my friend who's giving one to me today (Hopefully) to play most emulators & Homebrew games since they're scene has the better stuff that suits me & whenever i wanna play my Xbox 360 games as a semi hack i'll be using Wasabi360 for now on!
Isn't the Xkey way better? I'm not kinda have an argument with anyone on this but technically there is a way to run unsigned code on a completely retail, unopened, untouched console.
Really? There is?! the only method i'd recalled was this guy i've used to chat with & he made a thread here awhile back but some people here bashed him for some reason, i can't remember why though but yes i believe there was a way!
1) To install an Xkey, you must open the console, dump the DVD drive firmware and install the Xkey between the drive and the motherboard. 2) With any DVD firmware hack or ODE, you're still limited to running signed code. If you want unsigned code on a retail you need a JTAG or a RGH.

Ahh that Xkey lol i thought he ment something completely different! but anyways Thanks Dabman for the links. one other thing, couldn't it be possible to use modded isos for games using Xk3y? or a way to get homebrew software as .iso format somehow?
Iso is a way to archive a file. Like rar or zip. Archiving a file does not sign the file inside it. Try for yourself, take a .mp3 file. Open it in a hex editor program, delete random value. Now it's corrupted right ? You can't listen to your music anymore, no matter what. Will you be able to listen to this file again if you put it inside a zip or a rar file or an ISO ?
Lol i get it! but some homebrew coders usually do similar stuff when it comes to exploiting or a way to install/run unsigned homebrews. So in some instances it's kinda different in a way but not everytime.
You can still run modified ISOs from an Xkey, it's like having a flashed DVD drive. I think this is related to piracy talk so I can't say any more or Assembler will have to kill me. The only reason I brought it up is because I thought the XKey and the Wasabi were the same concept devices.
@Kingkat oh yeah i'd almost forgot i'm sorry man, would you like to discuss it further in PM? If you like too or so
