Well I have this 360 with a unique problem,no matter what dvd drive I hook up to it the 360 does not recognize it,the center led just blinks green. I tried all kinds of fixes but nothing has helped,I heard the southbridge might be the problem, maybe a reflow of the southbridge might do. Now I what I want to do is get the cpu key and update to freeboot but I can't boot to xell. Is there anyway I can just flash xell or xellous so it just boots straight into on power up or do I have to do the lpt method and erase the flash then write xell or xellous to it.
just write a pre made xellous image to it no need to erase the nand. yeah southbridge may be causing all theses problems, reball or reflow it
Ok so your saying I can use Flash360 to write xellous then I can boot straight into xellous using the power button,as I said before eject does nothing to boot xell as Im running xbr at the moment.
Hmm,I'm not to sure, from what I read if I update to xellous I still need to use eject to access it,also I tried adding a jumper to the dvd port on the motherboard but the 360 still flashes green in the middle.
Xellous is a pain to flash with 360flash, it never works for me. Man get a jtag usb flasher, they are like 10 bucks saves you from alot of hassles.
I have no problem using lpt but thats not the problem, regardless if there is a dvd drive hooked up the 360 still thinks there is no dvd drive. The only thing I can think of is to use a custom xellous that boots with no dvd drive but don't think that exist.
Success!!! After searching the web for days I finally got it working,I found this thread on xboxhacker. http://www.xboxhacker.org/index.php?topic=13040.msg92014#msg92014 I followed the guide Gee99x posted and soldered up the wire and now I can boot to xell - fuck yea. All all credit goes to Gee99x:thumbsup:
