it wasn't canned just the publisher went belly up...
believe THQ bought it and polished bit of visual and released... shame as it would've been a feb when it was originally released last year... now it's just average racer on crowded market... bit of lost opportunity I'd say...

Juiced just got a release within the past two weeks or so, I believe. THQ was indeed the publisher, and it came out on PS2 and XBox.

Everyone is so prude here it's unreal. We can show people bglowing their heads off, but people freak out at the sight of a nipple.

 

hmmm well just look at the laws in UK ,
the supreme court has put a stop to UK based internet porn(and UK based internetsexshops) and through mailorder catalogs. And now only shops (who has a permit of some sort) will be allowed to sell pornographic and sex items (videos, dildos etc.)

Juiced was hailed as the product that would keep Acclaim going. Unfortunately, the financiers pulled the plug before they could release it, so the rights were sold on to someone else (possibly by the liquidators, I'm not sure)

I'm glad the boys at Juiced Games did finally get the game out with someone, but I feel sorry them being caught up in the collapse of Acclaim.

There's a couple more good games hopefully going to be coming out of the rubble, but another couple of games with big potential that seem to have bitten the dust, despite being sold to Fund4Games.

Still can't believe what a bargain someone got from Acclaim Cheltenham and Manchester though. I daresay what Assembler got from the USA wasn't half as much as was in those two offices and I imagine he paid a lot more for it.

(Think it was about £25,000 for the assets of the UK arms, inluding DevKits, PCs, office furnishings and 4 IPs)

Juiced is pretty good, I actually did some overtime on it last month. It's more fun to build and trick out your car than it is to race (which as dj898 said is above average but nothing too spectacular.) But you know I'm not really into racing games, so someone who plays them alot might not be too impressed.
