Jurassic Park: Survival

Planned to be released on the PS2 in 2002, the game was cancelled close to the completion to the game, some who played the preview thought it to be pretty decent in graphics and sound. Does anyone know of previews being leaked outside devs and journalists?

No, I actually liked it.

 

This is one of the most terrible looking games I've seen in a long time, it's no surprise it was canceled. Yeah, it's PS2, but a lot of those textures make the N64 look good. The soldier models are embarrassing, and the animations on them are awful. The movement and physics in the video looks clunky at best. However, I really really liked that forward-flip to shoot the gun backwards trick, and would love to see that as a move in action games nowadays.

 

It's not the best graphics in a game, sure, but I don't need awesome graphics anyway. I just liked that survival bit.

 

You have to be kidding me, it looks absolutely dire. No wonder it was cancelled.

Still, I wouldn't mind a go on it...

N64 might be a bit harsh. Low end Dreamcast is more like it IMO. Its a good idea for a game and would be super sweet on PS3/360 esp with multiplayer. Something like Left 4 Dead with dinosaurs lol XD

 

now we're talkin'. i haven't played a good Jurassic Park game in a very long time.

 

I always had a soft spot for the Megadrive game, although I realise it's dire.

 

I liked the Game Gear one a lot.
