News on this old thread. Wel, Im afraid,l they are no news actually.


My friend got me a NOS optima 5 laser pickup, which is also not working on my shameful megacd ( its working like a dream on his)


Im afraid Mr Oliveira is right and something around the functional discrete parts surrounding the Sanyo chip went bust. Or the very Sanyo chip. I have the feeling that we will never know.


I have been reading on the Tinternets about at least two other guys with the very same problem... Its sad
