First of all congrats for your great job in that site.I really need help cause I just buy a used Xbox with a modchip installed.everytime i open it it has a logo in the upper left corner that says"EvoX".i also have the original xbox dashboard.How can i install another dashboard so i can run games from Xbox HDD?.
Let me get this straight, Your xbox has the EvoX logo in the top corner when booting but it goes to the original xbox dashboard? that would likely be because no one got around to installing a custom dash, or the dash file became corrupted and isn't loading so its just defaulting to MS dash. Do you know what Modchip you have installed?
Thats the problem i dont know!i buy it with the modchip already installed.it playes every backup i try except Conker Live and Reloaded.I wanna try to put a different dashboard so i can play games straight from HDD but i dont know the way.(im kinda noob as you can see)
Many stores would just install a modchip, and people would just buy bootlegs or pirate games then load them. Shortly after people loaded games from the hard disk. You can load AID and install a custom dash if you like.
well.. i have download AID and burn it in a DVD.I install UnleashX and DVD2Xbox.i copy Conker as (normal)450mb but still the same(dirty and damaged disk).Later i choose the Modchip one click installs and i install the Evox dashboard i copy the game as ISO Rip 4.400 gb in HDD but when i choose to launch it redirects to dasboard menu again!after that i put the AID DVD again and i choose Format/ Prepare HDD and i delete all the 3 first choices.when i restart the xbox in gives me an error21 and red ring.I restart it with AID DVD on it and install the UnleashX dashboard again and DVD2Xbox.My xbox works normally as i can see.But when i copy Conker again and i click to play is redirects me again to dashboard.What i did when i Format all the 3 HDD partitions and what im i doing wrong?i really appreciate your help but i want to play that game so badly!!!!
Generally, games you run on the HDD are extracted in a folder with raw files in it. There is a way to play iso files on the HDD but be informed that it's not the "normal" way of doing it. So basically extract all your games on your HDD. No iso file... for now at least. Error 21 is because you freshly formatted your HDD and your Xbox doesn't have anything to launch from the HDD. Using AID, reinstall at least original MS dashboard and UnleashX. After that, you don't need to reformat your HDD everytime. Just use file explorer in UnleashX and delete the game folder you don't want anymore(probably in E:\Games). You don't format your computer everytime you want to delete a file on it, don't you? Second of all, I don't know the exact size but I'm 99% sure that Conker's Live and Reload game is way bigger than 450MB. Having only 450MB worth of data for this game would means that there are data files missing and explain why it is failing.
