It had DRE error so i took everything all apart, now is it possible if i can hook hook up the power supply, dvd and controller and start it up from there with out putting it back together?
Just be very careful not to touch the PSU while it's running as you'll get a pretty good jolt, trust me I've done it, and it's not nice!!
Well put it in a way it works, Put a crappy snes game too keep up pics attached, now gotta put the controller port in, now since the dvd drive don't work is it possible to hook up a pc drive?
No. PC drives generally use IDE/SATA connectors. Neither are found on PS2 motherboard. Also, you've yanked off the bits of plastic that go over the chipset (Emotion Engine etc) Don't even bother booting it without replacing them.
If you're going to be a pedant, at least be correct - neither are found on the PS2 motherboard. They're added through the expansion socket. In any case the question was regarding optical drives, which the network adapter wouldn't support.
Me too. Placed one on a large sheet of metal (covered in plaster) that I thought was plastic before too - got quite a shock!
