damn good game, i wonder how it made it's way in america though. the game is quickly made also. anyway, good experience, and something fresh , THANK YOU GOD! i liked the strangeness of the tittle, how you just had to stop questionning yourself about what you saw, and to see my friend's face when i showed them the intro. :smt043 one of them even asked me if it was some kind of brainwashing thing.:smt043 are japanese only tittles all that refreshing? and i heard they where going to do katamari damacy 2, is it true? when will it comes out? any info on the tittle? if you never touched this game (or even never heard of it) you NEED to BUY this game (or at least try it). With a 19.99 price tag, you just can't resist! this game make me laugh to death, and it's fresh, crazy! this is something an american studio would even dare to do.
Yep, its a unique (although too short) game. the sequel is in the works, and is currently being called 'We Love Katamari'. Its set to come out in the states on 9/06/05.
http://ps2.ign.com/objects/716/716651.html It's called "We Love Katamari" and it is supposed to be out July 7th in Japan. I'm not sure when it comes out elsewhere though. Edit: Fabrizo beat me to it, and had the US release date.
oohhh...thx a bunch guys! anyone have informations about the gameplay, enhancements, story or anything?
Taken from Tips and Tricks: The King of all Cosmos has grown to stardom and is worshipped across the galaxy, thanks to all the tireless work put in by the Prince. The King's followers want even more katamaris to fill the sky so the little Prince and his cousins are sent down to Earth again to roll up all the world's junk into giant katamari clusters. We Love Katamari will introduece a bunch of new objects to roll up including new underwater creatures, national landmarks and even celestial objects like angels! The scoring system will be a little different from the timed challenges we saw in Katamari Damacy; you will be able to explore more freely and travel between different areas of the game. A new 2 player co-op mode will let you and a friend work together to roll one massive cluster. Communication will be key as you both try to roll the ball in tandem and synchronize your movements! Of course, We Love katamari will feature a brand new soundtrack filled with happy-funny tunes that will linger in your head long after you put the controller down. There is also word that a Katamari game for the Nintendo DS is in the works!
Yes... that is the one game over which I really regret not having a PS2. A DS version would be great!
yeah, but now i need one even more! i just hope they'll increase the life time. Alot. [QUOTEYes... that is the one game over which I really regret not having a PS2.[/QUOTE] i heard it was comming on the game cube too, it could be wrong though.
see there isn't enough refreshing games like this for any of the systems. The all have a 3 or 4 or 28 after the name.
Katamari will fall into this cycle as well, you know. Personally, I'm just about sick of hearing about Katamari Damacy. It's like anyone who plays this game suddenly feels they've become a hardcore gamer or something.
Don't think so on the cube. And by life time, do you mean the battery life? You must be thinking of the PSP man. I play my DS a solid 30 minutes every night and I've done this for over a month. Only had to charge my DS once (twice if you count the time when you take it out of the box).
