Just bought a Panasonic FZ-1 3DO and it has a problem. It keeps resetting after a few minutes. After searching the net I have found I need to replace the caps, but can't find anyone supplying them in the UK. Does anyone know if there is a UK supplier of caps and also if anyone has a tutorial on doing this.. I have found this Code: https://mortoffgames.com/files/3DO_Capacitor_Replacement_Kit_Installation_Guide.pdf?160782731 But it is for the Goldstar!!
https://console5.com/store/panasonic-3do-fz-1-cap-kit.html https://www.mortoffgames.com/3do/go.../panasonic-3d0-fz-1-capacitor-replacement-kit These are the only 2 cap replacement kits that I'm aware of for FZ-1. They are not in U.K. But shipping shouldn't be too bad and they include all the caps needed. Or buy them individually from electronics suppliers like farnell, mouser, rs-online etc. Just double check the dimensions of the caps so that the new ones fit. As for tutorials, use the goldstar.pdf for technique reference and then steadily replace each cap. Good luck.
Thanks.. I've managed to find the 3 caps that normally go wrong and bought them from RS Components so should get them in a day or so
