I think it will do, and act as a 4MB RAM cart too, for some of the 2D Capcom fighters. At least mine looks similar to this except it says Pro Action Replay! on the sticker also.

Just looks like a 4M expansion cart to me. They were used for various later developed Cacpom fighters among other games. Allowed for bigger character sprites and such.

Let us not forget Metal Slug!

    Why don't you try it?

You can open it and post a few nice pictures.

If there's DRAM it's a RAM card. If there's SRAM + coin cell or EEPROM, it's a memory card. If there's FlashROM, it's a shitty memory card.

With that cartridge you should be able to boot NTSC (original not backup) games if it is an action replay clone. If you lookup the Sega Saturn Action Replay 4MPlus, your cartridge looks very similar. The AR4M+ I believe functioned as a memory card, 4M extended ram, import player, and cheat device I think.

Sadly SNK never made any ports that used more than the 1MB extended RAM cartridge. =( I wish they'd made a nice KoF98 port using the 4MB extended RAM. Capcom's 4M games were all so very nice.

i put the cart in and it did nothing, i put the cart in with a pal game it did nothing, i guess it`s not an action replay as that would boot into a different screen. i did however get to play nights and parodius again seeing as i`d hooked up my saturn :icon_bigg
