Since this seems to have become the unofficial phone topic...

    http://www.neonode.com/templates/factsPage.aspx?id=418

Has anyone ever used a neonode n1m? I am very interested in getting one and am wondering if it's worth importing, as it may be a bitch due to neonodes unwillingness to ship to the US.

Yes, I have the Gold one :) Never saw a gold phone before so I just had to have it :) The original price was something around 24'000 yen but I got it for 17'000 yen thanks to Vodafone points.

Odd as some people find it, I'm actually really satisfied with it. It has good signal strength, can send text messages, and it's fairly sturdy, which is a must for a cellphone of mine - I like to wedge it between my shoulder and neck in order to type while I talk, and most of the newer models feel like they're going to break when you do that.

Dude, it's a pretty cool phone, Subbie. It's better than most of the "high level" stuff here, also.
I think the motorola would be overkill.

    I have THIS one.

And I'm still paying for it. 7 or 8 dollars a month, two months left to go.
What, it plays midis, and lets me send little messages. That's pretty much all a person needs.

Don't get me wrong. I love my phone a great deal. It's great phone but I would not mind changing for the motorola (specialy since its wince).

Oh and I disagree. A person needs wolfenstine on the go as well :D (there is a port of wolf 3d for my phone).

I have the same phone! Well, mine's the T230, but that's just the European version. I hate it though. The first one I got broke after a couple of weeks - the earpiece stopped working totally - I could make calls, I could receive calls, but I couldn't HEAR calls! The second one I got didn't seem to be put together as well - it's a bit creaky when you push on the front. The screen is kinda sucky - people send me photos from their camera phones and I don't know what the hell they are half the time! I hate the lack of features too - mainly the lack of an auto key-lock. And those buttons are chronic - that middle menu button is just a pain in the hole!

I think it was a waste of 80 Euro. I liked my Siemens C55 much better (wasn't colour but it had a cool blue light!), but I broke it -_-

If I could afford the $300/month cellphone bill to have all those features on a phone then I'd buy one.

I just bought a LG VX 7000, and while I'm rather happy with it and it's capabilites, I'm a little disapointed in how they rank you for every little accessory that comes with it.

Like I want to PC sync with it becasue typing in names for contacts is a pain in the ass, so I get the $40 USB cable, to get home and find it doesn't come with any software. So I go to LG.com and they inform me they don't sell any software. So I find some in a shop near my work, but they only sell it in a package with the USB cable I already have and some other useless shit I don't need (like the program that turns the phone into a wireless modem for a laptop, which no laptop made in the last five years needs as that's like a standard thing now) for $69.

I ask them If I could just buy that single CD off them. "Nope."

Would have been nice if the asshole at the Verizon store would have told me this when I decided to get this phone.

Still, it has Castlevainia on it.

Mine's not a phone, it's a mobile entertainment box that just happens to have a phone on it :p Or at least that's how I see it.

Zilog: You still happen to have that old T230 around? I got one that works perfectly apart from the broken screen...

Here is my fone, the Samsung a670. It's a good mix of usful features, good camera and good battery life. Also at the time when it forst came out it was $299, but I got it for $30 after rebates and credits. :D

My carrier doesn't have a great selection of fones, but the service area and reception is the best on the east coast.

Fortunately us "Eurotrash" have SIM cards and thus no carrier-bound phones per se. I'm pretty happy with my SE T630, but the camera is pretty shitty. Bluejacking is so much fun :D
