IM gutted. i think i just lost my brother to PES10. its an improvement over the previous versions but fifa beats it by far with the superior animations, Ball physics and graphics
I always find the comparison between PES and FIFA to be the same comparison between Project Gotham and Forza. One is a fun, quick pick up and play type game, the other is a serious, realistic, commitment-type game.
Shame its not fun to play, Think its now the 3rd year in a row that I haven't bought either. For all the technical advancement they seem to have broken PES as its just not as satisfying as the late number PS2 Winning Elevens, Plus the new one has a really gimped running animation as you mention which makes the game look incredibly awkward especially in replays. Neither are worth buying if being totally honest.
Please explain why you do not find it fun to play. No disrespect to your opinion or anything but i just cant comprehend how fifa is not enjoyable to some people
I think Fifa 10 is an improvement over 09 but for me it still lacks that feeling of satisfaction when scoring certain types of goals. Its the learning curve where you start realising what beats certain positions everytime and in Fifa it still feels like a predictable pattern that you can exploit (be it the AI or the way you can force the opponents positional play). Don't get me wrong the early Fifa's were completely terrible and the new ones are better at forcing you to try variations of play but its those situations where you thought quickly and pulled it off in WE that doesn't seem possible in these new two. PES10 feels like your playing with controller input delay, Its truly awful isn't it!
