Wow! Great work! It surely is something that would appeal to many people nowadays. The file name "revolut..." was not chosen by chance, I suppose? Admit it, you worked for Nintendo's design department!
Well, with art it's hard to say - i don't remember publishing this before online either so it would be hard to persuade anyone. For all people know I could have copied the Wii's design. notice however how it's quite bigger than a wii - (you can see the size of the disk compared to the machine by the tray size) the design was inspired from the PS2, the NES and old high-end machines (such as the beta-max, regarding the buttons)
Wow, that's nice! It really does look lke a wii. I wouldn't mind having one, if they were for sale...
No, 3DS Max 4 or 5 was it thnx for the comments =) I m big fan of blue lights - bluray also came to mind at the time
this is where i got the buttons and much of the design's influence from: PS: this top-loading unit is massive and very heavy - i remember watching he-man and other cartoons as a kid , and I preferred it to our VHS
The buttons and media socket have a devilry close resemblance to those of the Wii... Sorry to tell, Barc0de, but there's practically no way you designed that before seeing the Revolution prototype. I don't say you're lying, but you definitely have the 2004 date wrong.
well the PSX-has the 2-1 button layout as well, it's a popular asymmetric choice. Also, notice how the buttons are much longer than the wii's, but very much like the beta-max =) comparison:
