I JUST OBTAINED MY LICENSE. This is a big deal for me. I'm 23 years of age and just finished learning how to drive. yay for me! My father bought a Storm, but it's stick. So that means I'll have to learn ALL over again.:banghead:
You got a Geo Storm? Drive that thing into the ground, those cars can take abuse like Whitney Houston abuses drugs...
I'm not that good at it, but I'll say I can drive a stick-shift. It's not difficult at all (quite fun, too). It's the starting/stopping with that damn clutch that takes getting used to.
Oh man, I remember the first time I ever drove a car, it was stick, and to me it was easy as hell. And I just remember how to punch down the clutch, and change gear, and then speed on in a new gear, real fast. And it was fun learning it the rally/speedway way. Those were the times driving field race. So manual gearing is the way to go for me. That is just awesome to drive such a beast (it was a mazda 323), and damn that sucker was great driving on fields with. And I learned that pretty fast. And I was having fun, so every time, your speedometre hits a certain mark(speed), then hit the next gear, and slam your foot on the speeder afterwards, in a quick way. Damn, I didn´t knew, that I missed driving fieldracing
Isn't the US one of the few countries where you can legally drive a "stick" under any driver's license? I know Japan and Germany require a "stick" license. Congrats on getting it though. My wife is way older than you and has no clue how to drive.
You have automatic and manual licences in the UK. You can only drive an automatic with an automatic licence, a manual allows you to drive both. I'm finally getting my licence this summer (22yo), yay!
You probably mean automatic transmissions, right? I can't think of any new car that costs more being a manual. Automatic transmissions cost more, and are much more expensive to take care of. Some manual trannys in some cars don't require fluids to work properly.
Wow, I thought I was slow getting my license at 19 (about 4 1/2 months ago). Anyway, congratulations and watch out for idiots.
You can't say you can drive unles you can drive a manual (Stick indeed :lol) Automatic isn't driving ! It's playing. Go, stop, go, stop, oh, go again. Yakumo
Not that late. I got my licence at 24, actually. Mexico requires different licences for Manual and Automatic cars. I can drive manual, but I really don't like it. I don't drive much at all anymore, to tell you the truth. You cannot drive safely in my city because of my government's need to campaign for their candidates by making useless constructions on the streets. Congrats on getting your licence, sir.
Dude manual/stick isnt that difficult, but on the other hand most people in the world shouldnt be allowed to drive... Anyways, 23? man and I thought I was late cuz I got mine at 18 (no pun intended)
