Hi I have a Jvc Xeye system that will not play disks. It just stopped playing them one day. Leaving the bay door open and manually pushing down on the bay door switch to trick the system into thinking the door is closed I have observed the cd spindle motor will not spin and the laser will not move up or down on the track assembling so both of the motors are not running.

The laser however is shinning and trying to read. I thought this might be a driver IC issue, the one that is utilized is a BA6393FP which I can not find the part or even a data sheet of, the only possible chip I have found as a replacement is the BA6398FP .

Has anyone ever fixed this problem

CD lid switch in X'Eye is known to go bad. I'd make a temporary jumper to bypass that switch and then see if it would work.
