Hello, world! I'm reposting here, as suggested by Paulo de Souza, a question I posted on usenet. I already tried several others places and couldn't get anywhere, so... Does anyone here knows anything about the KAGE library / SDK? From what I read, KAGE (Killer Application / Game Engine) was a library for online gameplay, created by GTE Internetworking for the Sega Dreamcast. It was meant to be used on both the client (game) and the servers. It would handle lobbies, rooms, chat among players, game settings, etc. I'm interested in any kind of documentation about it, like specifications, API, binaries or sources (for both client and server), the names of the people who worked on it (was it done by Sega or GTE? Some sources gave me conflicting versions on this subject)... If you don't know much about it, but knows someone who I can contact, please let me know. Thanks!
I've uploaded 2 Powerpoint slides which may be of interest to you. Enjoy! http://segakatana.com/docs/dcsdkr10/Training/Slides/Kage.ppt http://segakatana.com/docs/dcsdkr10/Training/Slides/kage-bootcamp.ppt
Hey! Thanks, Mark30001! But... I already have those presentations (they are from the Katana SDK r. 10, right?)... Thanks, anyway - I really appreciate! BTW, seems to be a nice site, I gotta take a look at it later. I even wrote to the guy who made the presentations, but it's hard to get in touch with him... he's ignoring my e-mails, or they are not reaching him. :-( Any other info? BTW, do you know about any other Katana release after r. 10? I'd love to see the libs of r. 11... []s!
No problem. That's pretty much all I have on K.A.G.E; those PowerPoint slides. There's the SDK r11 beta that focuses more on networking. I also remember reading about someone trying to obtain the r12 SDK on these forums, but there wasn't much...
Yes, I've been looking for it for quite some time, but I could only find the 10.1... :-( Do you know where I can find it? I saw the screenshots on segakatana.com, and that gave me some hope again... ;-) []s!
