Im schepical about that game as made as third game suposted be released every platorm but since the sell didn't too well, was relased only for PC it has languages form i see "Russia" why? Are these developers nowdays become Lazy now? im do not want to say bad for them probaly they have try hard to found publisher. Anyway when i look inside the files i found some assets folders for Ps2 and xbox it has textures form Joystisck controll the player. note: ive put "russia" under that because it plays only that language but the other languages text can be found in there but was never used, there also voice acting per dubs im not sure there's english or ecc for i know it play in Russia or probaly in Swden.
Interesting question. Well, according to this: http://www.ag.ru/games/kao-the-kangaroo-3-mystery-of-volcano https://web.archive.org/web/20070928225534/http://www.kaothekangaroo.com/ 12.2005 - official retail release of KtK3 on polish language (polish sound too? for internal polish market?) 12.2006 - official release of fully localized (sound+text) version of the same game on russian language for internal russian market So yea, seems like English language is not available in this game. Anyway this is platformer game, so why should somebody cares about the language in this type of game? BTW KtK 2 as PAL ps2 game came with multi5 language set. If you wondering why so, perhaps this is the reason:
I wouldn't be surprised if unfinished English is from publisher issues. The first game was brought to USA by Titus, who's long gone. Then barely-living Atari gave us the second...
From what i see inside the file English text is complete i suppose, and can be Fully Edited withouth any problems because the format is in text so also strangely found assets of ps2 build on it and xbox put on it...Can be compile with source code and made work as ps2 Iso?
It's very easy to get the game to load the entire English script, if you want. The game itself will ignore any attempt to change its locale, but just go through the localization file and swap out the language markers -- voila, fully english Kao 3 (with some translation and typo errors). I've taken the liberty of doing so, and if you like you can download the fixed english localization here: http://www.4shared.com/file/L2AHHyh9ce/lang_psp.html . Replace the default lang_psp.ini with that one, and you're good to go. Images and the game's logo are a tougher proposition. It'd be nice if the game were any good...
