karsten's old SNK games reviews on PS2 As many of you might have noticed, in the last times many compilation games have been released on our good old PS2... And they are CHEAP TOO! Since the focus have moved to more recent consoles, these games aren't going to be reviewed by magazines or online webpages like gamespot or IGN, so since i own quite a few of them, i'm going to post reviews of the various old SNK games. Concerning the reviews, I'll cover the collections in this way; i have played almost all or maybe all the games already YEARS ago in arcades. Plyed like a few coins and no more because i had a tight budget, so the games will feel quite new to me. I never had a NEOGEO or a NEOGEO CD, so I can say that i won't have much of a nostalgic factor concernings the games and i thibnk i'll be able to be fair. I'll review the Collections in this fashion: First a small overview of each the games contained and a valutation in stars from 1 to 5. The sections covered will be Graphic Sound/music Playability and replayability Total and lastly a valutation of the collection as a whole. For fighting games i'll make sure to talk about the frustation level too... As you surely know many SNK games had the bad abit of being frustating as hell (expecially the final bosses)... The games i'm planning to cover (if there's interest obviously) are: Samurai Showdown Anthology (contains SS 1 to 6) Fatal Fury Battle Archives Volume 1 (FF, FF2, FF Special,FF3) SNK Arcade Classics Vol.1 World Heroes Anthology Art Of Fighting Anthology The King Of Fighters Collection Orochi Saga (contains from '94 to '98) The King Of Fighters 2000/2001 Many others might come as soon as i manage to buy them and play through them So far i'll let the people choose what review i'll start writing first; the candidates so far are: SNK Arcade Classics Vol.1 World Heroes Anthology Art Of Fighting Anthology The King Of Fighters 2000/2001 the ones i've played and extensively finished. Please vote and in a few days i'll post the first review. karsten
