Katana Drive Trouble

Just wondering what could be wrong with the Katana. With a DC game in the machine, the Katana will get to the 3d DC logo and go to DC screen but won't read the disc. The disc spins but doesn't start. Saw a couple of posts about disc spinning but game not starting. Just curious if it is a bad drive assembly or something else. If anyone has done repairs on this and would be willing to help.

Did you set the right region for your disc via the rotary switch?

 

Also make sure you're not into emulation mode.

 

Yeah make sure the GDROM Drive is not in emulation mode. If you connect it to a computer via SCSI and run GD Workshop there is a setting the switch the GDROM Drive from Emulation mode to GDROM mode.
