    About time, Yakumo!

<< What a nice surprise this one was when I first put it on. Looking more like a late generation PlayStation game rather than a Saturn game, Keriotosse! is one of those everyman for him self type fighting games. Well, I say fighting games but it’s more like do anything possible to survive the battle. You and 3 friends or 3 CPU controlled characters if you’re doing a one player game, take to the area in an all out battle to survive. Use any means necessary to survive including using the level’s obstacles, your own magic or just brute force. All characters are 3D polygons yet look very nice indeed. The areas you battle within are also 3D based yet don’t look it. There are also quite a few nice transparency effects on some of the levels.

With a wide range of characters to choose from (more become available the further you progress), many different playing fields and quite a challenge in single player mode, Keriotosse! is defiantly one worth checking out. Personally I think it’s the best game of it’s type on the Saturn which is pretty good going considering the makers aren't exactly famous >>

heh heh... yeah, this game has been a fave of mine since 2004. It used to be very unknown back then, but after I posted about it at several places it became less of an obscurity through the grapevine.

Anyone else played Keriotosse! ? It's really the only Poy Poy-esque game on Saturn I can think of, and I too agree it looks like a high-end PS1 game moreso than Saturn. At least the intro anyhow.

My favorite player is the Birdman. Some of the other special moves are crazy... like the one guy who can grow to rival Godzilla...

Yes, like a primitive version of it, but they're similar. More comparable to Poy Poy! on PS1 though.
