Hey guys, I've been trying to track down, on and off again, any info on what happened to the PS1 and Saturn release of Killing Time (originally a 3DO game) It had three separate release dates listed in EGM, and a full page ad taken out for it, so my gut tells me it was close to finished. (or even finished and just never released) Torus Games apparently ported it from the 3DO to the PS1 and Saturn, but nothing ever came of it. Anyone have any leads? I've exhausted my search, but as a collector of everything Killing Time (weird thing to collect...just my favorite "childhood game") it's been my holy grail for years. I'd be willing to put a bounty on finding it as well if that helps http://trade-media.com.au/news/read/developer-profile-torus-games/154384/
Probably an obvious question but have you tried reaching out to Torus Games? Also, it looks like this guy was one of the programmers who worked on it. Could be worth reaching out to him: https://www.linkedin.com/in/david-theodore-b8627848/
Please reply to this thread if you learn anything. My interest has been peaked now. I've played both the 3DO and PC versions.
I definitely will. Hopefully this time (I search for it pretty much every other year) something comes up. I've heard rumors its the 3DO version, except w/ a playable framerate haha Its my hands down favorite game as a kid. I've acquired every version, including some betas and alphas, as well as original art work that hung on the walls at 3DO from Killing Time. The PS1 / Saturn version is my white whale
Have you reached out to the Zoom Platform guys? They acquired the rights to a bunch of 3DO games in 2015 including Killing Time and were the first to re-release it. See this post too: https://assemblergames.com/threads/...lease-assembler-promo-code.57457/#post-823401
