I've just received Killzone 2. It is a blast! Best graphics on the PS3 sofar. The handgun seems somewhat overpowered, .........great production value nonetheless...... Now to the hype..... Best ever fps? Maybe....the AI is great! What is your first impression of the game?
What i really think that stands up on Killzone series, is the art style. That made me buy the first one, for the PS2. The new one is what Guerrila Games always wanted to do, but the PS2 couldn't handle it.
I will be probably flamed by this? But what is soo special about half-life? I would rate it 6 out of 10. I don't like half-life. Did you play the retail version of Killzone 2?
Id have to agree with gamesreview on half-life. I never cared for the game. I can't wait however to get Killzone 2 which hopefully will be really soon.
The gravity gun:dance: :dance: no honestly, if i remember there are no cut scenes and it also involved puzzles to solve...It was a joy to play from start to finish for me personally,, No i have only played the demo on psn,but i found it spongy.I did have the first killzone(still got it)and i never finished that cos it bored me. Me personally,I think there's better fps games out there than KZ2

i remember my first time playing half-life. i accidentally bumped the mouse during the tram ride and realized that it wasn't a cut scene. it blew me away at the time. i can see how you'd rate the original 6/10 going by todays standards but half-life 2 is AMAZING! if killzone 1 kinda ruined the series for me, generic fps with pretty graphics :/
Just beat K2 yesterday. Great graphics, but just isnt all that fun to play. And the aiming just doesnt fell as precies and Halo 3 or COD 4. Multiplayer is pretty good though. 8/10
The singleplayer is definitely lackluster. Besides the amazing graphics nothing is amazing. They promised a cover system, which is more or less unworkable under fire and half the other promised things, like destructible environments, aren't really present. The multiplayer is engaging though. The approach of having a single game go from CTF, to slayer, to VIP is pretty cool and breaks things up. There are some issues of class balance, however, and I'm not sure if the MP is enough to keep me coming back month after month. I'd say 7.5/10. Worth playing if you're an FPS fan or a graphics whore, but not even close to best fps this gen, let alone ever.
Thank you! That was HL2 which does kick ass! Killzone 2 looks pretty cool to me, but no PS3 yet. And good god, no matter what FPS the guy was talking about I'm pretty sure everyone would still complain if he said best FPS ever. There is NO best FPS ever. There are only classics. Supposedly this has cool class based MP?
I guess too me Killzone 2 was definitely the best exclusive FPS for the PS3 to-date. Normally I get tired of all these companies using the Havok physics engine, but Killzone 2 was definitely one of the best uses of it. I honestly wish somebody would just put some work into developing something different or better than Havok. A lot of games are starting to feel very similar since they're all using the same physics engine.
