I don't see why we can't have '98: UM on PSN seeing as it's on XBLA:shrug:

exactly what i was wondering... i bought it on the xbla, but xbox360's gamepad is so bad that it makes it unplayable.

so i was wondering if there was an alternative on good old PSN... I hope kof2002UM will get released on psn someday!

The PSN version is "just" the PsOne version :(

I've got KoF Collection Orochi Saga, I believe that has it on it.

    Cost me £3.

    It's just the PS1 game.
I have it, 97 & 99 from the HK store.

They are also available on the JPN store. If they ever came out on the PAL/USA store they would be the PAL/NTSC-U versions of the game.

no it isn't. at least not for fighters, at least not for Kof, and absolutly not on x360.

BTW i doesn't want it if it's the psx version, IIRC it was shameful

They use different code. The Japanese PS2 Orochi Saga is a perfect port where the US version is shoddy emulation with poor loadtimes and no arrange soundtracks or anything redeeming.

I kick ass with the analog stick in every game but tekken.

Tekken seems to lend it self well to that shitty d-pad.

Hmm, I've noticed that the screen formats horrible and the button map feels wrong.

If the JP version is better I'll have to look into buying it.

Or just get 95, 96 and 97 on Saturn.

On the Japanese Orochi collection you lose 94 and 98 but you get arcade perfect 95-97 and the option for arrange soundtracks on top of that there's also a color edit.

The Nests collection is even better Arranges 99-2001 DREAMCAST PORTS AND the AES versions.

You can't be serious. Of course, it's not like the PS3 pad is that great for fighters anyway, and after you've played fighters with an arcade stick like they're supposed to, you just can't go back to using any kind of pad :110:

I'd skip '95 (it won't work on a non-Japanese/modded Saturn anyway, and the PAL version is expensive plus it was before KoF really got "good"), but get '96 (if just for the awesome Boss Team) and '97 on Saturn. What's the Orochi Collection on Wii like? Is it the bad emulation? Because that has '98.

    My Saturn is japanese. :)

They go for under a tenner each on eBay so I'll probably grab 96 and 97 next month.

Can you use any USB controller on the 360? If so I'll be using the saturn USB pad for the only way to play a 2D fight without a joystick.
