Does anybody have a DC that came out of a kiosk? Apparently they have KIOSK on the bottom or something, and a mate of mine has a kiosk, but with a retail DC in. Would be nice to have them match up... Could anyone confirm/deny/offer one for sale? Thanks Stone
Well, I have heard of a Kiosk Dreamcast, I've also heard that theres something different about their AV connection. Other than that, I can't offer much help.
My PAL kiosk DC had a retail label, but an RCA lead that would only fit the one that was in the pod, neither were inter-changeable with "normal" retail bits.
I have a US Kiosk Dreamcast. Mine does indeed say KIOSK on the bottom. The AV connections on it seemed to be standard (I hooked it up via s-video and it played fine). The only other difference I can remember is that the powerplug was slightyly different (two rounded edges instead of a flat edge). I think the sticker on the bottom with model information was setup slightly differently as well. I'm at work right now, otherwise I'd verify for ya.
I know that some US games might play in different languages. I remember a US Crazy Taxi on a US DC Kiosk having japanese menu's.
