Someone was selling it on ebay for a silly price (like $120 or so) a while ago.
Maybe the double disc fan pack (with the red cover, only released in Japan) has some of it in one way or another.

Based on the ridiculous price of that example, I presume it's very rare or contains something important to collectors. Either way, I'll probably just rip what I can from the two game discs myself - it might take longer but will certainly be a lot cheaper!

So I take it it hasn't got redbook audio? Didn't check that yet.

I'm not sure if the original Japanese releases are different, but in the PAL versions of both Clockwork Knight games only title screen music is Redbook format - everything else is generated in real time by the Saturn audio chip, and still many tracks are missing from the sound test feature on the options menu!

can't you just rip the PCM audio tracks from the disc? I haven't checked Clockwork Knights audio format but some Saturn games have the audio stored as WAV or a type of PCM.

    That's a bummer :(

If you look at the back of one of the parodius games they point out that the game uses 44khz PCM audio. Now I thought all Saturn games that used PCM ran at 44khz. Are Konami the only ones to use such a high frequency?

Ah I see what you mean but why did Konami go to the trouble of pointing out what type of audio their game used? Seems odd to me.

Anyway, yeah I know that the Saturn and Dreamcast are fully midi compatible. Waka made 2 music programs for the Saturn called Music School which come with a Midi interface box (Which I own) and one for the Dreamcast called O.TO.I.RE. which again worked with a midi box (had to be bought separately). A year or so ago I converted the overworld tune from Saturn Ogre Battle to midi using the program SEQ2MID. Is this the one you use?

Thanks for those links DruidII. Both sound the same to me though through winamp. Actually I find winamp to be pretty poor for midi playback. I use the Yamaha MidRadio player. Just take a listen to these.

The midi that I converted from the Saturn format (Ogre Battle)

You'll notice that it sounds crap through winamp or at least on my PC it does.

Here is a MP3 of it played through the Yamaha player. Still doesn't sound as good as the original because I'm no where near finished changing all the instrument tracks.

Finally a comparison of the Yamaha Player and Winamp playing the exact same midi without any enhancements running on either player. (midi from Psychic Force 2012) The Yamaha player is first followed by Winamp.

My PC has no fancy midi sound generator so for me the Yamaha player is best. Anyone else out there without some nifty soundcard may want to give the Yamaha player a try. Just from these samples you can hear how good it is. Also plays loads of other stuff such as Karaoke midis, MP3, radio and so on.

Thanks for that. It does sound better with the sound fonts running. Do you kwnow how the sound fonts are made? It may be quicker to use sound fonts rather than completely re-do the instrument banks in my Ogre Battle track.

Cool !! Thanks for that. I'll have to download TONCNV

    yakumo

EDIT - Do all games that feature SEQ files also contain the TON file? I'm trying to do some Panzer Dragoon Saga but can't seem to find any TON files.

Nintendo are the masters... Look at the graphics power of the ultra 64, no no don't look under the table at the SGI reality monster.
