Damn it. I really should have gotten on this thing a long time ago and done what the user incog in the bannister forum did, which is the second link in my previous post. I contacted him and he still has the file dump from monitoring data traffic during Net Jet usage. So the Konami Live game files really could have been saved somehow back when the server was still up. Here's the link he provided me, if you're interested you can see if there's anything different to the download from Desert Bandit: https://www.sendspace.com/file/2q3xl1 @Desert Bandit I tried; it asks for a verification username and key combo. I'm still trying to get all 5 game installs together to upload, doubtful if they're the actual games though.
Here are all the game install folders from the Konami Live compilation: https://www.sendspace.com/file/v5n6cy Included: Contra Gyruss Scramble Time Pilot Track & Field Yie Ar Kung-Fu Hopefully someone can run these, or find a way to run them, and find out if they're the actual games.
Try opening the exe files with an archive program like Winzip or 7zip. You'll find but a single file in each of them, with a .sr extension. They seem to be graphics files based on the names, which is not always the same. Here's what they are: Contra: particleresources.sr Gyruss, Time Pilot, Track & Field, Yie Ar Kung-Fu: sprites.sr Scramble: scramble.sr
This link does not work. Could you please re-upload the files? I have the controller and have been wanting to play these games for years.
Yes, I read over the thread. Maybe I can figure something out if I have the files. I'm just curious EXACTLY what will happen. Perhaps looking at the files will help. Since you put them up there initially, could you do me a favor and do it again. If not, I won't bother you anymore. Thanks.
Not sure if this would provide any clues, but have you tried the internet archive? Just poked around on there and found this: https://web.archive.org/web/20130114223000/http://konamiqg.oberon-media.com/
http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/konami-live-online-game-controllers.59156/#post-855037 That homepage is as far as you get, AFAIK.
Sorry to bump, but these links are dead. Any chance someone could re-upload? Also, I'm curious about the Frogger variant of this system, and if anyone still has the files to it.
