Didn't want to bump one of the older threads so I've created a new one. Has anyone created a patching program for the Konami M2 games which have a dependency on the Timekeeper?
How about drill a hole on the case of the Timekeeper EPOXY box and add an battery connector ? That way you don't need to hack the game program and keep the real time functions and settings management.
With over 800 PCBs in my collection, it's a pain in the ass to remember when to change batteries so rather have a solution that just eliminates them. You never know when one might leak and destroy traces on a board. Battle Tryst doesn't seem to use the Timekeeper for anything but the high scores and providing a few lines of text for the boot check. The time release characters' data seems to be stored elsewhere as when a friend revived his, all of the time release characters were immediately selectable.
